Located at the foot of Thomas Hill in southeastern Pennsylvania, Satoyama Homestead is an edible landscape, outdoor classroom, demonstration micro-farm, and the private residence of stewards Sarah and Will Caverly.
Founded in 2015, our mission is to live abundantly by honoring nature, and to cultivate a community for the free exchange of knowledge and resources for living gently on the earth.

Satoyama is also the home of the Original Transplants podcast and Spreadcasts blog.

Satoyama Homestead is adjacent to agricultural and state game lands, and is near to a PA Game Commission public shooting range.  We love our location, but it does present both natural and man-made hazards.  For your safety, please follow all instructions posted or presented by Satoyama stewards.
